PRINT JOURNALISM

I started writing for HK Magazine and the South China Morning Post when I lived in Asia in the early 2000's. There, I worked as a food and theatre reviewer, and honed my skills for the Canadian market. I have since written for The Vancouver Sun, The Georgia Straight, Hipmama Magazine, Chickadee Magazine, and more. My beat can best be described as community,  arts-driven stories, often with a social impact or human interest angle. I keep my eyes on the people and places around me - and they never fail to provide creative inspiration. Here are a few samples. The rest can be found in this archive.
